The MLX90333 is a monolithic sensor IC using the Triaxis??Hall technology. Conventional planar Hall technology is sensitive to only the flux density applied orthogonally to the IC surface. The Triaxis??Hall sensor is sensitive mainly to the 3 components of the flux density (BX, BY & BZ) applied to the IC and reports 2 output signals.The MLX90333 can sense the absolute position of a magnet moving above it. It helps in designing of non-contact joystick (3D) and linear (1D) position sensors that are frequently required for both automotive and industrial applications. It solves the sensing and signal problems.
